Well, the worst was nothing more than a ripple. But I did call home prior to the "wave" hitting and they said lines at the pump were long as were lines at the grocery store. Pretty funny.

Anniversary "Pre-Ball at The Call" - March 12

Bob and I have turned our 25th Anniversary into a fundraiser for our not-for-profit, School Street Arts Movement. It'll be a Fri. May 7, GLBT & S "Anniversary Ball," black-tie optional and we're having a preliminary event on March 12. Hope you can all come.

Right to Marry Event

I attended the 9th annual LGBT "Right to Marry" gathering last week, which was sponsored by Lambda Legal. About 200 people attended and I passed out flyers to School Street's "Our Anniversary Ball" event.

Valentine's Eve

For Bob and my Valentine's and 25th Anniversary weekend, we went to the Lyric Opera for a wonderful production of "Elixer of Love." Our usher friend gave us flowers and a box of chocolates, mmm. Which we had later with cake at Greek Islands.

Singing in the Rain

Last week I entered a talent contest at our convenience-retailing conference and I did "Singing in the Rain" where I both sang and danced. Fun stuff! But of all the luck. The guest judge was Scott McIntyre who was the blind contestant on American Idol.

He was cool. When he "judged" me, he said I had him from the start since he's a big Gene Kelly fan. He also had compliments on my singing. Yeah!

Anyway, I came in third and won $100! (Spent it already). Here are some action photos.
