Christmas Weekend 2010

Took a few holiday pics with my new camera--a Cannon PowerShot SX130IS. I've yet to get to know all the intricacies, but I'm very excited.

Xmas Eve at Frank's

Went to a friend Frank's house for an Xmas eve dinner. Had a ball!

Christmas Horses

One of Bob's friends from his cat-show circle sent us this photo of his horses as a holiday greeting. While this is on a farm outside the city, it looks like Chicago's also going to have a white Christmas this year.

Cookie Exchange at Work

Our annual cookie exchange at work gave everyone a sugar rush this morning. And a couple of gift cards inspired a lightning round of bingo--that I didn't win, rats! Tis' the season, ho-ho-ho!

Curses, Foiled Again!

A funny mixer game at our work Holiday Gathering last Tuesday. We had to create a celebrity or cultural icon out of tin foil. Here's what the winning team put out. Can you guess who she is?

Of course, the Statue of Liberty. Happy holidays to all!

Holiday Fun with the Shingles

Bob and I met up with the Shingles for our annual holiday gathering at Leona's in Des Plaines. I put together my Wonka look as an homage to Bob and my New Year's Eve Party theme and to make the girls laugh. Sydney is already in the sixth grade and Amelia in third. How they grow so fast. Happy holidays!

Opera: The Mikado

Bob and I experienced a fun and opulent production of The Mikado at the Lyric last night, my first of the season since we had to shift one performance and I had to miss the first one. But finally, we're back on track. We spent some time with our seat-mates (the people below and above us) and I journeyed down to the grand foyer to snap a photo of the excitement.

Xmas Fun Begins!

The holidays are here and I kicked them off officially with the Xmas Nun show and Asians and Friends Chicago's Holiday Gathering. Here's me at the AFC event dressed as "Angel" from Rent. We held the party at a lesbian bar called "T's" and the gals joined us in a rousing and slightly naughty rendition of "12 Days of Christmas." Santa arrived and we took some photos. Ho, ho, hookers!

Nuns' Big Show

A great second night last Saturday for "Wonderful, Nun-derful Life." Here are a few memorable moments and the greatest of friends who came out.

Fabulous Opening Night

Our production of "It's a Wonderful, Nun-derful Life" had a great opening last night. About 35 people turned out and everyone was so receptive. We did really well in terms of our lines and songs, and everyone said it was thoroughly entertaiing. There's no show tonight, but we're excited about tomorrow (Sat. 12/4).

Final Rehearsals for Nun-derful Xmas!

We're in our last rehearsals for "It's a Wonderful, Nun-derful Xmas" and things are shaping up. It's been a great ride with the guys and reliving our nun days from back in 2007 when we put on the original "Nunsense." Hope you all can come: Thurs., Dec. 2 and Sat. 4 only (no Friday performance), The Spot, 4437 N. Broadway in Chicago, 7 p.m., $15.
