Dat's Bachelorette Party

After five years of knowing Dat, he went and found love in Columbus, Ohio. We had not seen a lot of him since he began traveling back and forth to see where love would take him, but now it's official. We said goodbye with a "bachelorette" party a couple Fridays ago that went up and down Boy's Town, hit a Karaoke bar for a rendition of "And I Am Telling You, You're Not Going" and ended at, where else, a bar with exotic dancers.

Easter Comes Early

After Karaoke last Friday, I bopped over to Charlie's where the gay rodeo guys were having a fundraiser of taking pictures with the Easter Bunny. Here's to hard boiled eggs, peeps and chocolate bunnies!

St. Patty's Day at Work

My office had a great Pot-Luck O' Gold lunch yesterday. We hung clovers all over the conference room and had food with green dye in it (Jello fruit salad and popcorn). The main course, oddly enough, was Italian beef.

Thanks to all who came and participated in our Pre-Ball event last Friday. It was really a fun performance and sets us up for a great May 7 Anniversary Ball.

Oscar Night 2010

Oscar night was a blast. Had a great time with friends and chose to go gold for the evening at the Queer Film Society's gathering.

Rolling Downhill on Anniversary Event

I've wrestled with PayPal this week to update the blog we're using to take payments for the big fundraising event I'm organizing for my School Street Arts Movement. The GLBT & S Anniversary Ball, which will also be my and Bob's 25th Anniversary celebration will be on May 7. Now with PayPal up, we've got to get all the folks who've pledged money to pony up. That'll be the next challenge. Here we go!

(By the way, we're also looking for silent auction items, raffle prizes, flowers and underwriting. It's tax deductible! Just so you know ...)
