Tsunami Big Deal

Well, the worst was nothing more than a ripple. But I did call home prior to the "wave" hitting and they said lines at the pump were long as were lines at the grocery store. Pretty funny.

Right to Marry Event

I attended the 9th annual LGBT "Right to Marry" gathering last week, which was sponsored by Lambda Legal. About 200 people attended and I passed out flyers to School Street's "Our Anniversary Ball" event.

Video of My 'Singing in the Rain' Talent Appearance

To help me prepare, I videotaped my rehearsal of my "Singing in the Rain" performance earlier this month. The performance was better, but it wasn't a bad first run on stage.

Some view-and-food filled memories of Bob and my 25th Anniversary brunch. February 14, 2010.

Pics from Chinese New Year's

Fun from our Asians and Friends Chicago's Chinese New Year's dinner. We had a blast with all the food and our cabaret act--a preview for our Anniversary Ball entertainment.

Valentine's Eve

For Bob and my Valentine's and 25th Anniversary weekend, we went to the Lyric Opera for a wonderful production of "Elixer of Love." Our usher friend gave us flowers and a box of chocolates, mmm. Which we had later with cake at Greek Islands.

Singing in the Rain

Last week I entered a talent contest at our convenience-retailing conference and I did "Singing in the Rain" where I both sang and danced. Fun stuff! But of all the luck. The guest judge was Scott McIntyre who was the blind contestant on American Idol.

He was cool. When he "judged" me, he said I had him from the start since he's a big Gene Kelly fan. He also had compliments on my singing. Yeah!

Anyway, I came in third and won $100! (Spent it already). Here are some action photos.

This is where Bob and I will spend Valentine's Day. At the "top of the cock!", which is the John Hancock tower's Signature Room on the 95th floor. See you there!

The New Me

At the convenience-store conference this past week, a speaker had us each look to the left and sketch the person next to us. Here's what the gal next to me did. Does it do me justice?

Phoenix Conference

I'm in Phoenix at the Sheraton downtown for a convenience-store conference. I'm in the mock convenience store for a CSP TV shoot with an advertiser.
