Lightning Bolt in Chicago

On my drive home last night I caught a lightning bolt during the thunder storm that was passing through. It's about 14 seconds in. It took a few tries before I got it.

We were sensing a change in the weather at work and while I was outside, I filmed the storm front move across the sky above the parking lot. Not sure if this video captures how hard the wind began to blow. In any case, I hope it doesn't turn the home commute into a killer.



Then on my way home, I saw the damage near my house on Chicago's West Side.

Andersonville Midsommerfest 2010

Had a blast at this year's Andersonville Midsommerfest. Was a little cool and for the most part cloudy, but was able to hop around with friends and check out the sights. Highlights were doing a summersault dance-off with a little girl and food and beer at Hopleaf.

Elizabeth's Graduation Reception

Bob and I went to a friend's daughter's graduation reception where she exhibited her skills on the piano, drums and with singing. Quite the talent!
