Christmas Morning 2008

Bob got a robe and dinnerware and I got a robe and a wonderful digital video camera (not opened until after I took this shot and video with the old camera). The kitties got rocks. (It's a recession.) Holiday Parties and Don't Forget Hollywood Glam!

My company's holiday party and Asians and Friends Holiday Dinner was this past weekend and I have pics from both. I'm the holiday elf at the party we had for work, which took place at a bowling alley. And the Asians and Friends party featured an ornament raffle.

And if you're wondering about the Hollywood Glam New Year's Eve party at my and Bob's place. 8 p.m. start. We'll be doing videos of guests reenacting moments from famous Hollywood classics, so no sweats! Dress for the red carpet. Filming begins at 9 p.m. Oscars start at 11:30 p.m.!

A Stunning Santa

This is a donation from one of our Asians and Friends members to our Holiday Dinner tomorrow (12/13) at Riques Restaurant in Andersonville. It's a Christopher Radko ornament inspired by the AIDS Quilt. Just stunning.

Out of the Top Chef Pool

I'm in a Top Chef pool. Correction. I was in a Top Chef pool. After five weeks of rigorous competition, the chef I ended up with, Daniel, went to the chopping block. Rats flambe!

A Hollywood Glam New Year's Eve!

If you're in Chicago, you're cordially invited to Bob and my place for New Year's Eve. Even though the cadre of holiday parties have yet to occur (Asians and Friends this Saturday, 12/13, at Riques!), I'm needing to tell folks about the theme of Bob and my annual New Year's Eve gathering: Hollywood Glam.

I performed Nunsense II in North Hollywood last fall with my musical theater buddies and want to relive the glory days.

Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll be posting clips from different Hollywood classics so that people will re-enact them at the party. We'll take some digital video and decide on a Best Actor and Best Actress.

Harmony Ornament

Yet another ornament to be raffled at Asians and Friends' Sat. Dec. 13 holiday dinner. Kind of subdued, really. I like my "Penissimo" better, but Christmas is not about competition. Or is it?

My Cousin's New Art Store

Congrats to my cousin Celia, who just opened a new art-supply store in downtown Los Angeles with her husband and brother-in-law. It's called Raw Materials, and I promise you won't get a "raw" deal. She's there to support the arts.

Penissimo

Here's another ornament--one I made--that's up for raffle for Asians and Friends' Holiday Dinner on Sat. Dec. 13. It's in ode to the soft before the hard and a statement for the new dawn of portion control. It's called "Penissimo." Sedate, elegant and a little veiny.
